Stuart Syme, PGA Advanced Professional
After a successful amateur career that included representing both Scotland and Great Britain & Ireland at Boy and Youth level Stuart turned Professional in 1991. He qualified through the 3 year PGA training course with flying colours in 1994.
Stuart has since been awarded PGA Advanced Professional status in recognition of the extensive further career development courses he has attended and passed since then. He has furthered his knowledge and skills to become a PGA qualified referee, has a keen interest in putting bio-mechanics and golf fitness whilst furthering his knowledge & expertise on the latest golf swing ideas by attending various seminars hosted by the very best golf coaches.
Stuart joined Dumfries and County Golf Club in 1997 and has been emersed in the club ever since. He has endevoured to offer the very best service to members and visitors alike and his shop offers unrivalled levels of stock of the very latest golf gear from all the leading manufacturers Nike, Titleist, Ping, Callaway, Taylor Made, Galvin Green, Under Armour and more!
Stuart and his fully qualified staff are expert custom club fitters and this service is very popular with golfers looking for a new set of clubs made just to measure.
Stuart has been on the PGA Scottish Region Committee since 2006 and is also on the Scottish Golf Union Junior development panel.
He is a Nike Golf Ambassador for Scotland and still enjoys success on the course himself with recent wins in the PGA Pro/Captain Challenge, the Nike Golf challenge and in Pro-ams at Lanark and Duddingston.
